Issued on the Blue Sky Jet Records Tower label. Pressed in Blue Vinyl, it came in a plain white sleeve or maybe later issues came in a Jet Records company sleeve.

Wild West Hero 7” was released on 26 May 1978.

The single stalled in the charts, so David Arden got 10,000 copies pressed in the yellow vinyl 12” and issued on 8th July 1978 for 99 pence. This boosts the single and it reached no. 6.

​

The first pressing (1 + 2) had an ELO label on side A and a JET label in Side B, but "Manufactured In" was missing on the B side label credits, so "Distributed by CBS Records' seemed to be printed off centre.

​

Re-issued (3 + 4) with a corrected JET label on both A & B sides.

​

Most copies came in a plain white sleeve. a few may have been issued in a JET company sleeve.

​

There is also a Mis-press/Factory Custom Pressing of a Clear or Light Lilac Vinyl version, unsure how many exists. See images 5 + 6
